    Brian Crichton BA

    Managing Director

Brian is a leading expert in the control and management of electrical systems used in offshore/onshore oil and gas facilities. He has spent over 20 years providing training and consultancy services to the sector.

  • Scott Moffat MSc
    Scott Moffat MSc

    Human Factors Director

Having a varied background since working offshore, Scott is one of the leading experts within the Non-Technical Skills (NTS) discipline. To date he has observed over 100 groups in simulation exercises, over 90 external simulations and over 50 offshore NTS observations. All of this data plus his working background makes Scott feel just as at home in the simulator as he does offshore and thrives in sharing this knowledge with new groups.

Although he has a strong understanding of all the NTS – his area of interest lies in helping those on the front line understand and apply Communication, Situation Awareness and Stress Management. For example, he has recently led the way with a programme of ToolBox Talk coaching across the Oil & Gas Industry.

As Human Factors Director of PFC he has an overall understanding of the importance of human factors and its application across projects.

  • Emily Blower MSc
    Emily Blower MSc

    Human Factors Consultant

Emily’s natural skillset leans her towards understanding the importance of the process element of Human Factors. Her organisational and management skills make her one of the best at methodical Human Factors techniques – including SCTA.

Emily has led several SCTA programmes across a number of disciplines including Pigging and Flares & Vents. Her problem-solving ability allowed this work to continue during the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown, through the development of a remote data collection method.

Emily’s keen eye for detail allows her to excel at document management and Human Factors integration within task procedures. Barely a week goes by without a call for assistance from a client regarding procedure best practice. Emily has worked on a range of projects over the years, including those with regulator oversight and has become proficient in delivering best practice and meeting industry standards. In addition to the above Emily can be found offshore completing assessments or task walkthroughs.

Emily had the pleasure of being recognised as highly commended for the New Ergonomist of the year in 2022.

Following her graduation Libby has come on to the team as a full-time member of staff and continues to impress with her attention to detail and interest in all elements of the work.
